Stedfast Brass

Stedfast Brass is the Brass Band section of The Boys’ Brigade Canterbury/West Coast Battalion comprising of former members and supporters of the movement.

The Band was formed in 1984 with a few enthusiastic players and since this time membership has grewn to 40 dedicated players.
The Band consisting of both wind & brass instruments play a wide range of music suitable for for concerts and entertainment. The Band engages in a wide range of music for playing at Church Services, Fairs, Galas Indoor and Outdoor Concerts.
For several years the Band has held an Annual Concert with a guest Band or Guest Artists and have played regularly at the Arts Centre , Botanical Gardens and other venues within Christchurch. It has also been a pleasure to be invited to lead the carol singing at Hanmer Springs and the Halswell Quarry.
We are a Christian based Band affiliated with the Canterbury Provincial Brass Band Association where our members are able to compete in solo events.
